STILL RIDING-THE NICKLE PLATE

I've still be getting my riding in.  I've been exploring local rail trails and greenways.  If you like to ride and haven't tried one of these yet I strongly urge you to.  Chances are that no matter where you live there is one relatively close to you.  There are several good sites to go to to find these.  Here is the first one that comes to mind:  http://www.adventurecycling.org/routes/nbrn/usbikewaysystem.cfm  The one we ride most often and still have yet to ride the entire route is the Nickle Plate.  It's a beautiful paved path, easy with no strenuous hills to climb and very few heavily traveled roads to cross.  It's only downfall is that it does not have any restrooms along the path other than when you come into the few towns along the way.  Currently the Nickle Plate runs from a trailhead in Cassville to a trailhead in Rochester with stops in other places such as Bunker HIll and Peru.  In other words you don't have to ride the entire path in one day.  Here are a few pictures taken along our way on the Nickle Plate so far-

GODSPEED AND MAY YOU ALWAYS KEEP THE WIND AT YOUR BACK!
